Over the past several years, we’ve featured several of our wonderful team members through this blog. This time, I have a whole family to rave about! Meet the Johnson/Small family! They are all a glowing representation of what dedication and commitment mean. And our catering and hospitality business is certainly better because of them. William “Buggy” Johnson was the first to join our team at our Arsenal Street location in 2003. Not long after, a beautiful young lady, Natalie Small, joined our team. Once they met, they had a fairy tale romance. At least that’s how I remember it!
Natalie and William are natural leaders. William is our Lead Porter and a strong right hand to Dan Washburn and Matt Brauss in our operations department. If you want something done correctly, quickly and impressively, “Buggy” is your man. Natalie has been at the center of our culinary team for quite some time. As our Cold Side Sous Chef, Nat is always the first to arrive (many mornings by 3am) and the last to leave. She, along with the Butler’s Boardroom team, have brought an incredible resurgence and stamp of reliability to the brand. There is no doubt that both William’s and Natalie’s development, growth and contributions at Butler’s Pantry have been unprecedented.
And much to our benefit, their positive presence soon meant that of additional family members. Three of the next generation – Tyler, Aigner and Jasmine – have all held numerous positions throughout our Family of Brands. Tyler most recently as a manager at Piccione and Aigner and Jasmine working side by side with their mother in Butler’s Boardroom.
The mission of Butler’s Pantry is to provide our clients, their guests AND our business family with ‘every reason to celebrate’! We certainly celebrate this family and all the remarkable talents and personalities they bring to our table.

Staff Appreciation Notes
Chef Natalie, with the help and hard-work of Aigner and Jasmine, is the heart and soul of Butler’s Boardroom! Natalie’s “can-do” attitude and absolute dedication to her work is what helps propel the brand forward. It makes my job easier knowing that I have the Small/Johnson girls on my team to ensure the absolute best for our clients! It’s obvious that Tyler has also gotten these qualities of perseverance and hard-work from Natalie. I have so many hilarious and wonderful memories from my time working with Tyler at Piccione.

It is a great pleasure to work with both Natalie and William. You can rest easy when William is on the job. He ensures all tasks are done to “Butler’s” standards and does it all while chatting hilariously along the way. Speaking of talking along the way…Natalie! While observing Natalie during my first days at Butler’s, I was thinking “does Natalie talk to and hug everyone?” The answer is, yes, she does! And thank goodness she does! On stress-filled days (and not so stressed filled days) you can hear Natalie laughing from the other side of the kitchen all while managing her crew and making sure prep lists are executed properly. Aigner and Jasmine didn’t fall far from the tree. They are hard workers, have easy smiles and are also a pleasure to have on the team.
-Chef Vince Bommarito, Chief Culinary Officer
This family is a key piece in the foundation of Butler’s Pantry! They always work hard and are willing to help where ever help is needed. And they do this with a positive attitude and a smile on their pretty faces. ???? We love and appreciate them all so much!
-Amie Taylor, Director of Sales & Catering
Love working events with this family! All are hard workers and make the event a pleasant one to work!
-Cathy Mastrolia, Service Manager
Working with the ever so loved Johnson & Small family is always a pleasure! Natalie is very focused and has an amazing, infectious laugh. Buggy goes about his busy day scrubbing, moving, working hard, all with his unique “Buggy” swagger! And what a sweetheart Tyler is❤. He always takes the time to say hello with a big smile and hug. Aigner and Jasmine, although quiet, are a big presence in the kitchen. This is a family of worker-bees through and through. I am so lucky to be a part of their team! I enjoy each and every one of them!
