As I have said time and time again, family participation is the key to our success! No two individuals amplify this declaration more than the Wacker brothers.
Let’s begin with the older brother Jon’s accomplishments and career at the firm shall we? Jon joined Butler’s Pantry in October of 2005, probably because he played football for Oakville and Big Z made him help us out on busy fall weekends. Almost instantly Jon became the “GO TO” guy on our waitstaff. Easily able to load, carry, serve & reload almost any party, Jon is considered by some a “one man crew”! Almost 15 years later, Jon is still working events but even more importantly directing our technology initiatives at HQ. Jon’s expertise and commitment to bringing Butler’s Pantry into the 21st century is cherished.
Younger and better looking of the two is Joel: with a huge heart and focused perseverance to Butler’s Pantry. Joel joined our team in May of 2007 following quickly & quietly in his brother’s footsteps. Since opening Palladium Saint Louis, Joel has been the foundation of almost all of the events we have produced there. Night after night, Tim Zingrich has relied on him to train, mentor, and provide guidance to our newer team members. Recently joining our team full time at the Theresa warehouse working on box up and filling rental orders, Joel is rock solid. On a recent trip to the History Museum, Joel noticed that the service team was shorthanded and instead of leaving he insisted on staying long past his due departure, insuring that this event went off without any problems.
The devotion and attention to detail provided by both Wacker bros is invaluable and certainly worthy of the June Spotlight. J & J …thanks for all you do in the front of house and behind the scenes to insure our customers have “Every Reason to Celebrate”.
-Richard Nix Jr., President of Butler’s Pantry
Staff Appreciation Notes
Jon & Joel Wacker are two of the hardest working people here at Butler’s Pantry! If you need something done, or if you’re in a pickle, these are your guys! They are willing to take early and late deliveries, work any position at a party, and will jump right in when you need it. Jon is our technology guru, and is really taking our internal systems to the next level. Joel is an operations anomaly – working after hours, and really going above and beyond to get the job done. Thanks so much for all you guys do!
-Michael Roy, Director of Operations
I love working with the Wacker brothers! Jon has made office life so much easier with the changes made in caterease. I feel everything gets done much more efficiently now. I know if I have Joel on my labor sheet, or if he happens to swing by my event, I can breathe easy. If you can’t find Joel to ask him for something it is probably because he is already doing it. I am truly grateful for all these guys do for us!
-Paton Nix, Event Manager
It’s always such a pleasure working with Jon and Joel. Thanks guys for being so smart, hardworking and responsive. You are much appreciated!

Joel takes on ANY task that is asked and NEVER complains. He is usually one step ahead, and completes the job before he is asked then moves on to the next. He is ALWAYS first to unload the truck and ALWAYS stays until the end to reload the truck without ever asking to leave early. If something is missing, Joel goes back to get it and jumps right back into service. Once, as his shift was coming to an end at the shop, he was loading a truck with a lot of tables and noticed the labor was mostly women (all but two). On his night off, he not only came to the event to unload and set up the tables but when asked if he could stay because two members had to leave his answer was, “sure, I brought my uniform just in case”. Joel gave up his night off! Guess who was first to reload the truck? Yep, Joel! I can ALWAYS count on Joel!! Quiet but mighty and every once in a while he shares his shy, quirky smile! He’s simply the best!
