As we close the final chapter on 2018, it’s nice to reflect back on all of the wonderful memories we provided our clients through our genuine, creative & reliable hospitality. While we certainly “provided what was promised” I’m most proud that we “delivered more than expected” for the thousands of people we met over the course of this year. Our successes were many and certainly worth celebrating, but there was one month that will surely go down in company history: this May, marked the re-dedication of The Saint Louis Gateway Arch. During an incredible two weeks, every department at BP came together and took part in delivering 11 unique and highly complex events. These remarkable feats could have only been handled by our group of professionals and I was personally humbled by our accomplishments.
2018 also allowed us to hire, train, and retain an incredible BP team. This year saw more training hours logged, more service hours booked, and most importantly provided additional development to an already devoted & seasoned squad. I am most proud of the professionalism and competence displayed every day, in every department. Our incredible team certainly lived our Mission Statement: Providing Our Clients and Our Business Family with “Every Reason to Celebrate”!
Above all, 2018 gave us the time to embrace change. This January will mark the first time in 18 years that we have not depend on Chef Greg Ziegenfuss to navigate our culinary ship. As you all know, Greg, Mel, and Jen have been incredible resources and key team members who we have all come to rely on. I am sincerely grateful for their family’s commitment to the building of this company – from small catering outfit to hospitality company. While Greg leaves us at the pinnacle of his career, he leaves us with a very solid foundation. Our culinary department has never been stronger or more talented. I know Greg wishes Chef Vince Bommarito, Jr. all the success in the world and will continue to be available to all of us for consultation. Greg, you will always be a very important member of the Butler’s Pantry family, and we wish you all the luck in the world!
Finally, The Nix family wants to wish you and your families a very happy, healthy 2019!
-Richard Nix Jr., President of Butler’s Pantry
