Before December and 2017 fade into a distant memory, I would like to place our final spotlight of the year on the incredible Bixby’s Team. As you all know, for over 8 years we have had the pleasure of providing dining and catering services at the Missouri History Museum at our Bixby’s restaurant. From day #1 it was our goal to provide the History Museum’s visitors and our restaurant patrons with an unparalleled dining experience. It was not long before local critics took notice and national attention was placed on our amazing lunches and brunches. Awards over the years have included: being named one of the best museum restaurants by Travel + Leisure Magazine, St. Louis Magazine A-List Winner, OpenTable’s Diner’s Choice Winner, Alive Magazine Hot List Winner, recognition from Food Network and many more!
For years, the charge has been led by Bridget Bitza, our Vice President of Venue Sales, who developed a unique knack for identifying dedicated, hospitality-focused front & back of house team members. Bridget’s team, along with Chef Ray Wiley, (our newly named Venue Chef de Cuisine for Butler’s Pantry), have overseen countless unforgettable menus and creative cuisine with an emphasis on local that have had diners coming back time and time again. “Our team truly considers our client’s experiences as a top priority and always welcomes guests into our dining room with a warm smile, ” said Mrs. Bitza. The management team has been rounded out with veteran Cathy Mastrolia. Cathy began her career at Bixby’s as a part-time waiter moving up quickly to take the reins as our Front of House Manager. It was Cathy’s daily task to ensure that our team was ready to meet, deliver and exceed the requests of so many diners. Cathy and her crew excelled. Team members include Jackie, Rashon, Brenda, Jacob, Monique, Bobby, Kourtney, Tyrice, Cathy, Donell Grier, Keondre Smith, Dave Hedges, Aaron Busby, Dwain Giles, Tyrese, and Rachel Miller.
THANK YOU to our entire squad. YOU are the reason we’ve been so successful over the last eight years. Not only did we fulfill our original vision for the restaurant, but you exceeded all of my expectations. I am so grateful.
Cheers to you and Happy Holidays to all! See everyone in 2018.
Richard L. Nix, Jr.
