FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
(St. Louis, MO) – October 11, 2024 – Butler’s Pantry, a leading catering and event planning company, announces that December 31, 2024 marks the end of an era for one of its most iconic venues, Palladium Saint Louis. This comes with new ownership of the building at 1400 Park Place. Since its grand opening on November 7, 2009, Palladium Saint Louis has hosted a wide range of memorable celebrations, totaling 1,008 events and serving more than 215,840 guests.
We are incredibly grateful to the St. Louis community for embracing Palladium Saint Louis and making it a part of their milestone events over the years,” said Maggie Barton, CEO of Butler’s Pantry. “This venue is a part of my own history, professionally and on a personal level. It was the venue in which I got my start at Butler’s Pantry, plus it was the setting for my own wedding reception in 2014. So, as we all look back on 15 incredible years, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the experiences we’ve had and the relationships we’ve built along the way in such an iconic setting.”
Originally restored in 2009, Palladium Saint Louis has captivated guests with its modern, industrial design featuring exposed iron beams, metal accents, and oversized elements like the signature room-dividing ‘petals’ that descend from the ceiling. The venue’s two-story windows offer a striking cityscape view from the mezzanine, and the space can be transformed or left in its purest state; either way, the room makes an impact. Over the past 15 years, Palladium Saint Louis has garnered numerous awards, including the Landmarks Association of St. Louis’ 2011 Most Enhanced Award and The Knot’s Best of Weddings (2013, 2016-2021), earning its place in The Knot Hall of Fame. The venue has also been featured in top publications like Vogue, St. Louis Magazine, St. Louis Business Journal, Fox 2 Now, KMOV, Saint Louis Bride, Catersource and more.
As we take our time to look back, we also celebrate what’s to come. Butler’s Pantry is thrilled to officially welcome Twin Rivers Church to the neighborhood. Twin Rivers purchased the building from Tucker Lafayette Partners in early 2023 with plans to expand their operation into St. Louis City.
I think we speak for all of our Lafayette Square neighbors, when we say that we’re welcoming Twin Rivers with open arms and revel in the fact that there will continue to be life, energy and quality gatherings held in the space,” says Richard Nix, Jr., president of Butler’s Pantry.
For the final months of operation, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite moments on social media and we invite the community and our clients to commemorate this special venue by tagging us on social media with their own memories and photos. If you haven’t had the chance to celebrate at Palladium Saint Louis, there’s still time to be a part of its celebrated history. We will continue to host events through December 31, 2024, with a limited number of dates still available for booking.
I can’t thank the St. Louis community enough,” says Richard Nix, Jr. “We hosted countless non-profit events, weddings, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations at Palladium Saint Louis — it’s truly a bright spot in the legacy of Butler’s Pantry. We look forward to sharing what’s next for Butler’s Pantry and appreciate the continued support of all of our brands. We remain committed to innovation in the hospitality industry and providing our clients, their guests, and our business family with ‘every reason to celebrate!’”
Butler’s Pantry is also excited to turn their focus on what’s next, for the company and for the St. Louis event scene. Stay tuned!
