For the 5th year Butler’s Pantry provided Camp Hope with a party that was fun and delicious for all attendees. Camp Hope at Trout Lodge is a weekend getaway sponsored by Project ARK for children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and their families. Fourteen volunteers from Butler’s Pantry loaded up for the 90 minutes drive to Trout Lodge and set up an under-the-sea delight for the diners.
Delights for the kids and adults included Seashells n’Cheese, Mini Submarine Sandwiches, Captain Nemo Fish Sticks, Shark Teeth (chicken tenders), Sand Dollars (ranch flavored potato chips), Clam Cookies on White Chocolate Coral, Starfish Sugar Cookies Pops plus a full candy bar to select from sugary favorites including Swedish Fish!
Thank you to everyone from the culinary staff for their “sea-inspired” creations, to Brian and his team at The Rebel Florist for the marine influenced decor, and the volunteers who invested hours in making the trek to Trout Lodge. A special shout-out to Bianca McCann for planning the party and Sara Ketterer for her fun signage. Everyone working together made Camp Hope 2012 a GREAT SUCCESS!!
