Butler’s Pantry’s success is directly correlated to its strong team and hardworking employees that are constantly striving to surpass client goals and expectations. We are so fortunate to have the outstanding members of our staff and are thrilled to spotlight some of our industry all-stars. Our fearless leader and president, Richard Nix Jr., is excited to introduce our first team member spotlight, Coleen Donovan, who is one of our Sales & Catering Managers.
Employee Spotlight – Coleen Donovan
After graduating Truman State University and completing an internship with the accomplished Cosmopolitan Events, Coleen Donovan joined our team in July of 2015. Coleen quickly established herself as a Catering Assistant at the Missouri History Museum. Her role there included handling many non-profit and corporate events as well as some of the most detailed weddings. Coleen’s dedication and commitment to her brides and clients made her promotion to Sales and Catering Manager earlier this year – well deserved.
Her move from the Missouri History Museum to Butler’s Pantry Catering allows Coleen to broaden her scope of clientele and parties. As you can see from some of her most recent client comments below, Coleen continues to shine. Coleen Donovan embodies the service first motto of Butler’s Pantry and gives our clients “Every Reason to Celebrate”!
-Richard Nix Jr., President of Butler’s Pantry
Coleen loves crime shows, Mexican food and chocolate chip cookies. When she’s not kicking butt at Butler’s Pantry, you can find her enjoying a good book or cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Her colleagues would describe Coleen as innovative and outgoing, with a brilliant sense of humor. We are so lucky to have this talented woman on our team and are excited to share some kind words from a few of her clients. Keep up the great work, Coleen!
Client Appreciation Notes
“We cannot say enough amazing things about Butler’s Pantry, and Coleen, whom we worked with from day one. As a bride, I was on top of every little detail, and was in constant contact with Coleen. She was very responsive to every question, concern, change, and requests I had – always in a timely matter. Even on her days off, she would communicate with me! She had amazing ideas when I was stuck with planning our reception. Our reception took place in the Missouri History Museum, and it was stunning and magical. The food, oh my goodness, the food. The best catered food I have ever tasted! We’ve been to many many weddings and have never had anything better. Coleen coordinated the most wonderful food tasting. We felt like we were in our own private dining space in an upscale restaurant. The Butler’s Pantry headquarters is so cutting edge and handsome. Every request we had for our special day, Coleen delivered. We contributed some personal items to use at the venue, items that were special to us, and Coleen made sure they were put away and saved safely for us after the day ended. The night went so smoothly, every minute was planned and executed. At the end of the night, Coleen gave me the biggest hug, and said she had the best time coordinating our night, and thought it was one of her favorite weddings she had done. She had become a friend throughout the process, we had talked so much through it! Every bride needs a team of BFF’s on her big day, because that’s what makes it special, knowing everything will be flawless, and not having a worry, so you can enjoy your day with your new husband. We couldn’t have been happier with Butler’s Pantry!”

“The Missouri History Museum was an absolute DREAM! Every wedding day has its highlights, but there’s something about the pieces of the wedding puzzle that make your life easier, your time spent planning more enjoyable, leaving you stress-free and confident to move on to other things that really make them stand out. The MHM is one of those standouts… a true piece of GOLD. I highly recommend Coleen. I worked with her from the start and she took care of everything (and boy do I mean everything). MHM is professional, organized, extremely friendly, GORGEOUS, insanely fun (especially with a band-the sound was excellent!), and the *FOOD* from Butler’s Pantry is to die for. I’m still hearing about how good our food was! We ended the night with a late night snack, which was so delicious! Parking is also excellent for guests as well- I know ours enjoyed that! I honestly can’t say enough good things about our experience. The MHM blew us away from day 1 and continued to go above and beyond on our wedding day, executing everything flawlessly. I would choose them for my wedding day over and over again.”

“The Missouri History Museum is clearly beautiful and elegant. What’s even better than a perfect venue? An expert catering and events company like Butler’s Pantry running the show. We worked with Coleen Donovan from booking to finish (we’re now married and very happy). Coleen was attentive, professional, and responsive. She also has a fun and warm demeanor. Butler’s Pantry has an outstanding reputation and they didn’t disappoint. Linens were perfectly pressed and placed, bars were set up beautifully and practically, and the food was outstanding! Each and every staff member we encountered was welcoming and kind. Missouri History Museum was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony and reception and we can’t thank Butler’s Pantry enough for making everything look good and taste good! Can we do it again next weekend?”

“The Missouri History Museum is the perfect venue for the wedding service and reception. Our daughter’s wedding was perfection thanks to the Butler’s Pantry and the wedding coordinator at the museum. Coleen Donovan’s work made the planning and the actual wedding day totally stress-free and worry-free. The Butler’s Pantry handled the catering, flowers, all the set up. The food was delicious, the flowers for the wedding party and the flowers on the tables were beautiful. Kudos to all the staff on total professionalism.”
